It’s time: Part one of my eight-part series documenting the Boise food community’s response to COVID-19 is ready to read!

For this piece, “Generosity in a Crisis,” I interviewed Christopher Zahn of Zee’s Rooftop Cafe — a hardworking chef with a big heart.

Zahn’s restaurant is located in a downtown Boise office building, so COVID-19 hit his bottom line hard. For months he struggled to pay his rent, but even then he found ways to give back to his community.

It’s a touching story, and you can click here to read the full piece.

“Generosity in a Crisis” was created in partnership with FARE Idaho, the Boise City Department of Arts & History, and photographer Marilyn Isaac.
