Last month, I shared Part 3 of an eight-part series documenting the Boise food community’s response to COVID-19. Now, Part 4 is out!

For this fourth piece, “A FARE Fight for Idaho Food,” I sat down with FARE Idaho Executive Director Katie Baker to talk about her passion for making Idaho’s food system more resilient.

Baker started at FARE Idaho as a volunteer during the COVID-19 pandemic, and now heads its many programs to help local farmers, restauranteurs, and beverage makers. It’s an inspiring story you won’t want to miss.

“A FARE Fight for Idaho Food” was created in partnership with FARE Idaho, the Boise City Department of Arts & History, and photographer Marilyn Isaac.
