Part 5 Is Out! Read ‘Hope Is High-Protein’
Last month, I shared Part 4 of an eight-part series documenting the Boise food community’s response to COVID-19. Now, Part 5 is out!
For this fifth piece, “Hope Is High-Protein,” I sat down with father-son duo Gibson and John Berryhill of the downtown Boise restaurant BACON. During COVID-19, BACON not only found work for its employees by remodeling the restaurant, it also continued to give back through its nonprofit, BACON for Hope.
BACON for Hope funds improvements at the Hope House in Marsing, a children’s home and school that takes in kids from failed adoptions and dysfunctional families. Gibson discovered the cause through basketball — and knew right away that he had to help.
