Last month, I shared Part 5 of an eight-part series documenting the Boise food community’s response to COVID-19. Now, Part 6 is out!

For this piece, “Boxing Boise’s Kindness,” I interviewed Cathy Knipe and Britt Udesen, two of the women behind the Boise nonprofit City of Good.

City of Good formed in April 2020 in response to COVID-19 with a big goal: to safeguard Boise’s food system and feed Idahoans at the same time. It works with chefs at local restaurants to provide professionally made, locally-sourced meals to Idahoans in need, including refugees and food-insecure kids.

Knipe and Udesen have big plans for the nonprofit’s future, too. Click here to read the full piece.

“Boxing Boise’s Kindness” was created in partnership with FARE Idaho, the Boise City Department of Arts & History, and photographer Marilyn Isaac.
